STAMPlorations October Mid-Month CAS Card Challenge #10

I am back with a mid month sample for the STAMPlorations CAS Card Challenge:

This is a one layer card that I created by stamping and masking a flower from the Bloom Sketches stamp set using Weathered Wood distress ink. I used Distress markers and a paint brush to paint the inside and to do the negative painting around the flowers. The sentiment is from the Hope Blooms stamp set.

I hope you are playing along with us!

Beautiful as Dreams that Dance

I absolutely love this sentiment from Impression Obsession! Then pair them up with watercolored butterflies from Hero Arts = LOVE!  I used distress inks on the butterfly and spritzed the stamp with water before stamping them onto Tim Holtz Distress Water Color Paper. I then used my MISTI and Versafine Onyx Black ink to stamp the sentiment.

I am submitting this card to Less Is More Challenge - One Layer Card with the theme of Dreams:

Sending Warm Thoughts

I finally used the Hero Arts Color Layering Tree stamp set. It is really fun to use and you can get some really good autumn colors using the various layers and different colors. I used Distress inks for the leaves and tree. The window die is an oldie but goodie from Memory Box and the cat die is from Taylored Expressions.

I am submitting this to Virginia's View Challenge - Focal Point

STAMPlorations CAS Card Challenge Guest Designer!

I am excited and honored to be a CAS Card Challenge Blog guest designer for STAMPlorations for the next three months! The October challenge is Anything CAS Goes - optional color twist: BLACK

Here is my card for the challenge:

I used a sentiment from VIGNETTE: Trendy Feathers and the Butterfly: ARTplorations stencil. I used an ink blending tool and Black Soot Distress ink to create the butterflies on Tim Holtz Distress Water Color Paper. The sentiment was stamped with Classic Kraft ink and the panel was adhered to Kraft card stock.

I am looking forward to seeing what you create!

Happy Birthday

This is my second submission for the new challenge blog - The Flower Challenge - Anything Goes.

I used Distress markers and Distress ink cubes to try to make a layered colored look to the flowers and leaves. After coloring onto the stamp with the distress inks I spritzed with a bit of water and stamped. Once dry, I colored over the leaves and flowers with Distress markers in the same colors.

I am also entering this to the CAS Watercolor Card Challenge - Autumn Colors:

 to ATCAS - Watercolor:

to Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Fall/Autumn

and to Penny Black and More Challenge - Autumn

Playing with Altenew - Lacy Scrolls

This card is a case of a card I saw on the Altenew blog that I pinned a while ago. I used a light shade of Altenew lilac ink to stamp the flower. I then used Copic Markers to color over the flower for a layered effect. I did the same with the leaves - stamped with Altenew  ink and then highlighted with Copic markers. I used an embossing folder for the card base.
